An international vigil was created inside the Diamond Jubilee hall in the city. The venue was changed to international decoration. Observers and judges appointed by the world boxing federation had entered the hall at 12pm. Several introductory fights, or exhibitions, took place, but it was clear that all who flooded the hall that night had come to witness the clash between world champion Desudelity Macha, and her biggest rival, Roman Kogga.
